If you want the best answer to Making America Great Again, a phrase first used by Ronald Regan before being taken up by Donald Trump and other Republicans, you must ask the right questions. First, let us define what a Constitutional Republic Democracy(CRD) is:
A constitutional republic democracy is a form of government, classical progressive liberalism, where the supreme power rests in the hands of the people, specifically the citizens, as they delegate their authority to their elected representatives. Elected officials are there to serve the people, not to lead the people. However, the power of the people is limited by a constitution, which is a set of fundamental laws that protect the human rights of all citizens. A constitutional republic democracy is not a social democracy where opinions promoted on social media assume the power of The Rule of Law. Vote carefully and enjoy your freedom on the internet.
In a constitutional republic democracy, the people we elect, representatives to make decisions on our behalf, are followers, not leaders; they follow the US, the people. The Constitution binds these representatives and cannot make laws violating people's Constitutional rights. The Constitution also provides a system of checks and balances, preventing any government branch from becoming too powerful.
Some examples of constitutional republic democracies include the United States, France, and India.
Here are some of the critical features of constitutional republic democracy:
Popular sovereignty: The people are the ultimate source of power in the government.
Limited government: The government is limited by a constitution, which protects the human rights of all citizens.
Separation of powers: The government is divided into three branches: the legislative, executive, and judicial. These branches are designed to check and balance each other's power.
Rule of Law: The government is bound by the law, and no one is above the law.
Individual rights: The Constitution protects the human rights of citizens, such as the right to free speech, the right to bear arms, and the right to a fair trial.
A constitutional republic democracy is a government based on liberty, equality (primarily equal opportunity), and justice for all. It is a system that has been successful in many countries worldwide over hundreds of years, predating the founding of The United States.
