Millions of things have to go right to survive an airplane flight. We willingly pay market price to board an airplane for our family's trip. We pay the ever-increasing market price, believing that the designers, aircraft manufacturers, mechanics, air traffic controllers, and pilots are the best; if true, this is a meritocracy. This is the fundamental principle of free market capitalism.
Make America Great Again replace DEI with DMO
It should be DMO, Diversity, Meritocracy, and Opportunity, not DEI, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion—no equity without providing economic productivity. Everyone is accountable for a nation's prosperity, starting with as many self-sufficient citizens as possible (80-90%). Workfare-Charity by the people for the people should replace all government socialistic welfare, which has failed to deliver the American dream.
The equity for people in need should come from the profits generated in our free market economy, not from the government's inefficiency and lack of innovation— taxing, borrowing, and spending. There is no solution using tax and debt dollars— which causes inflation and recessions. The only way to Make America Great Again is to solve the problems of the people by the people for the people. Limited government's responsibility is to set goals and provide motivating incentives for We The People, who can lift and help our fellow citizens become self-sufficient and prosper.
Meritocracy Wealth
Meritocracy vests economic power in individuals based on knowledge, ideas, and productivity and offers a promising path for personal growth and prosperity. It disregards wealth, social class, gender, or race, and advancement is solely based on performance, measured through examination or demonstrated achievement. This opens up possibilities for personal development and passion, instilling a sense of hope and optimism in individuals.
Generational Wealth
Generational wealth vests economic power in individuals based on the inheritance of family wealth. People who live off inherited wealth are less prosperous, happy, and productive. Unless they develop and pursue economic meritocracy, they are less able to give opportunities to others in society to live more progressive, prosperous, and productive lives. Meritocracy opens up a world of possibilities for personal development and passion, instilling a sense of hope and optimism.
American Investors versus Beneficiaries
The chart illustrates the percentage of U.S. households that paid income tax from 1960 to 2022. The data reveals a general downward trend over this period. In 1960, approximately 87% of households paid income tax; by 2022, this figure had dropped to 60%. It's important to remember that this data represents households, not individual taxpayers. Additionally, the reasons behind this trend are complex and multifaceted, including changes in tax laws, income distribution, and the availability of deductions and credits. While I don't have the exact data for the percentage of U.S. citizens paying income tax, the trend observed in household data likely reflects a similar pattern for individuals.
In 2022, approximately 60% of U.S. households paid income tax. This means the remaining 40% of households did not pay federal income tax. One can only imagine what will happen when most taxpayers pay no income tax, Socialism.
However, it's important to note that not paying federal income tax doesn't mean these households don't pay taxes. Many still pay other types of taxes, such as payroll, sales, and property taxes.
The percentage of households that don't pay federal income tax can vary depending on income level. For example, in 2022, about 47% of households with incomes between $40,000 and $50,000 did not pay federal income tax.
.
The critical point to take away is that people who pay no income tax are much less motivated to pursue meritocracy to become productive Americans able to give fellow Americans meritocratic opportunities to Make America Great Again, MAGA. They have no skin in the game. America needs more meritocracy that generates more opportunity, which delivers prosperity for all.
The Clock is Ticking
For over 90% of human history, over 192,000 years, humans lived in a flat society of small hunter-gatherer groups with no hierarchies, cities, or governments. Meritocracy and cooperation were required to sustain life. Eventually, families became extended families, and then hierarchical tribes formed, leading to the specialization of leadership, hierarchy, and jobs based on meritocracy. Human history was built on the idea of family, so leadership is based on parenthood. Thus, parenthood/leadership evolved into chiefdoms and kingdoms that, after European colonization, were complete. Various forms of colonization were formed in the New World. The American Declaration of Independence, the Revolution, and the United States Constitution began the Great Experiment.
